Amerisure strives to cultivate an inclusive workplace that is open and receptive to innovative ideas, diverse perspectives, and creative collaboration. The company established its Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) Ambassador program in 2019, and the program continues to grow and flourish. Ambassadors collaborate with leadership to foster an inclusive work environment throughout the year.
DEI Ambassadors host “Days of Understanding” dedicated to sharing resources on the importance of belonging. In 2022, employees engaged in thought-provoking discussions related to books, movies, and music. Each month, the company recognizes worldwide cultural celebrations. Two panel discussions were recently co-sponsored with the law firm Kopka Pinkus Dolin, where both companies recognized and celebrated Juneteenth and Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. This year, Amerisure will focus on solidifying diverse vendor relationships, DEI as part of employee onboarding, and supporting two Detroit Public Schools in partnership with BlackFacts.com. Ambassadors also recently attended Allyship Training.
“At Amerisure, we are committed to working together to build upon our DEI strategy and enhance our efforts and capabilities,” said Erin Buddie, Amerisure vice president of human resources. “We know that when our talented employees are comfortable bringing their authentic selves to work, we can continue to provide an award-winning work environment for all.”
DEI & Agency Partnerships
Amerisure is proud to lead a specialized agency group, Impact Partners, that focuses on business growth, talent development, and partnerships with minority-owned and led agencies. Impact Partners are committed to growing their business and championing diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging. The group held its first council meeting in August. This year, the program will provide training opportunities and hold a community connections summit. Amerisure has high aspirations for the opportunities Impact Partners can provide for our communities, industry and organizations.
